The staff are accommodating and friendly.

It's quite far away from the center of El Nido and the way through the property is not that convenient. And the shower didn't function. They offer a ride going to town and back n Fort but they charge you on every ride.

The staff was pushy towards the tours and all sorts of bookings. Despite the calm of surrounding it was noisy in the morning kids crying for hours and people fixing motorbike engines reving at 8.0am

Has potential, but unfortunately very lackluster stay

Cool location and arrangement of rooms with nature. A little patio area to sit at in the front. Bed was comfortable, although we only received the tiniest blanket for two people that didn’t reach our waist. Walk was okay to the town, but not possible to take a tricycle to the accommodation, maybe 15-20 min walk. Staff friendly enough to say hi, but not too much communication.

Unfortunately there was poor communication throughout our stay. We were told we will be picked up from the bus terminal and ended up waiting over two hours in the rain trying to get a hold of anyone at Forest Inn. “Driver forgot” and I guess the whole staff must’ve forgot to reply for hours. (However, they did provide a ride back to the terminal at the end of our stay to make up for it, which was nice.) We arrived and it wasn’t quite as expected. There was no key for our room the entire stay, so we couldn’t lock the room when leaving and had little security. There was no electricity half the stay, no running water at times, no WiFi, no toilet paper, no shampoo, hand soap, or toiletries, no floor mat for the feet, no trash bin, nor anything that should come in a basic room. We have very little expectations as we are accustomed to traveling for months now and cold water, low pressure, thin walls, weak internet, and spotty electricity are to be generally expected in the Philippines. Unfortunately the only thing that was available in our room was the bed itself (which had some ants). Stayed 5 days, but not once was it cleaned or offered to be cleaned. Had to ask for toilet paper and they gave one third of a used roll. This stay was fairly inconvenient and heard similar experiences from other guests here. Maybe we got unlucky while staff was short-handed, as it seemed the entire stay was unprepared and there was no sense of hospitality, which was a shame. I’m sure the people are truly nice, but not professional or well-equipped for our particular stay. The helpers at this time seemed young and still learning, so hopefully Forest Inn will reach its potential in due time. The place really does have potential, but just not quite there yet. We’ve been traveling SE Asia for months and this is only the second poor review we have ever written. We would definitely find a different accommodation at a comparable price next time we visit.

Great value, great location!

Very nice location, slightly out of the city center, immersed in nature and close to the beach. Run by a very nice family. Great value.

The Wifi never worked during my 4-night stay and there's no network either. Every time I had to use internet I had to go to the main street. It would be better to say ther's no Wifi. Many things like the room, the bathroom, the water, the cleanliness could all be improved. However, I had overall a very nice stay. This place has definitely a great potential and hopefully it will be improved.

Wonderful

The name of the hotel says it all. Its in the middle of the forest. Perfect if you like to stay in the wild. The rooms were neat. The owner was wonderful and extra helpful. She was ready to give us information about all the tours and went out of the way to help us book last minute!!

Location outside of el Nido with a very bumpy road also passing the beach leading there. Basic room, sheets had stains, we never got our second towel. No phone signal at all. We were told there was wifi on top of the mountain in a bar but it did not work at all. Long walking distance there and to the reception/breakfast bar. Breakfast was disappointing. TV was always on in front of our room (except at night). Construction works started early in the morning (noisy). They have their own filtering system for drinking water but could not guarantee the safety of it. So water was sold in bottles (rather expensive).

Exceptional

The staff are lovely and the manager was super helpful! The location was perfect for us as we like peace and quiet but still be able to walk to everything. The view from the top of the hill is stunning!

The WiFi was very temperamental in the few days we were there but it’s certainly not the end of the world :)
